Lotus on track - Bedford Nov 4th

Well the sun came out on a cold day, cracking venue as ever co driver for the day was Dan Ludlow who

enjoyed the 5.  The new brake setup worked well DS2500 & Performance Friction Carbon Metalics so

she stops completed battered a set of ACB10's but well worth it.  Will upload more pictures as they come

through, lots of flat corners which make you smile except when you in passenger seat.

 

Snetterton 071006 CSCC TinTops

Time had come to test the 5 so no better way than book a race.  After a frantic week of geeting bits done we arrived and raced.

Qualified 18th of 28 car grid.  Finished 15th overall.  Thanks to Andy Joss my co pilot for the event.  Handles well goes well brakes need some work

 

Next outing Bedford November 2006 with Lotus on Track which should be good

July 15th 2006 - Exige day

Thanks to Charlotte & Ethan for booking me on a Lotus day at Silverstone for Fathersday.

These cars are amazing, fast nimble and perfectly balanced.   Out clased the other super cars being driven on the day and I managed to overtake them all.

caused a few problems - 2 pistons 14 valves later......  Rebuild time

 

 

First Race 2005 - Dec 4th Anglesey

Lent car to Mike to race at Anglesey so he could get last signiture for international license.

Wet weekend car performed ok a539's not best in heavy rain

Bedford - RMA Trackday Dec 05

Cracking day first ture shack down for car handled well and performed beyond expectation he Roversport 1400 engine

was full of power, we out performed Ian's GTI with 265 cams and throttle bodies even with the weak colling system, the original rad is going went in the bin after the event as 3 hot laps were the max before heat built up

NEW CAR FOR 2005/6 SEASON

EX Works rally car has found its way to my drive!!!!

One of a handful of works cars, the car was purchased in September 2005 for restoration.  I will be using it for track days, racing and possible road rally's.

Car came with tax & RAC Logbook together with a load of Roversport goodies.

When she left the factory

Car After re-shell due to roll, the joys of Roversport backed team as brand new shell delivered after event,

At least it got rid of the sunroof

When purchased inSeptember 2005  watch this space for updates:

October 2005 Car past MOT first time after fitting new janspeed system and new pads.  After a good week ends polishing the car is looking a lot better.

November 2005 First trackday booked  - RMA Bedford Autodrome 19th November

Great day no problems lots of smiles as we corner on 3 and chased down the big boys, pulls to 92 mph in third then limiter spoils fun

Modifications to date: Solid subframe mounts, split suspension mgf cup pipes new tyres 

Engine: 1.8 K series engine lotus elise engine R65 MG ZR c/r gearbox with gripper plate diff so some Elise bashing is coming soon
